Giving kids a day to be kids

Our church, Iglesia Reforma, has done a few things in partnership with International Justice Mission (www.ijm.org). None of them have been as awesome as the Day of Joy that we just recently did.

A Day of Joy is a day that is set aside especially to serve the kids and families of open cases that IJM is working. Here in Guatemala, IJM focuses solely on child sexual abuse. A Day of Joy then is an opportunity to serve the kids and families that have been through, needless to say, a traumatic event and are waiting to receive justice for what was done.

While we as a church cannot bring justice, we can give them an opportunity to just have fun.

Our team of volunteers did a fabulous job planning and executing the whole event. Below you’ll find some pictures. Also, we got to do it in partnership with some of our folks from Grace Pointe, so you may see some of them in the pictures.
